- March 8-10 = Gun and Coin Show
- March 28-30 = Better Home and Living Show
- April 4 = Chamber Mini March Madness
- April 19 = Annual Chamber Banquet - The Chamber banquet is the annual meeting to install new officers and network with your fellow Colby supporters during a social hour and dinner.
- June and July = Picnic in the Park - Picnic in the Park is every Wednesday at noon in June and July. Local entertainers donate their talent. Bring your lunch for a community get-together at Fike Park. The children play, the adults visit, and everyone enjoys great music under the shade trees.
- June 13-15 = Colby Rod Run
- July 4th = Kiwanis 4th of July Celebration
- July 18-20 = Pickin’ on the Plains Bluegrass Festival
- July 28-August 1 = Thomas County Free Fair
- November 28 = Santa City Opens - Santa City is open weekends for both children and the “young at heart” from the day after Thanksgiving, weekends, and then evenings the last 2 weeks before Christmas until Dec 24 th. It is a holiday wonderland with charming scenes of woodland characters, and of course Santa and Mrs Santa. No admission charged, but donations are accepted.
- December 7 = Christmas Light Parade - The Christmas Light Parade is held the 1 st Sunday in December. There are many imaginative uses of lights on machinery, vehicles, people and animals. It’s a festive way to begin the Christmas season!
The Chamber & CVB sponsors with CCC a “Welcome to CCC Picnic” at Fike Park in August. The college furnishes and serves food and local businesses have tables to inform new and returning students of the services and products available in the community.
The Ambassador Classic is a gathering of midwest area college basketball teams, from Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. They test their skills at the tip-off of the basketball season at this annual tournament.
The Ambassadors are a group of men and women, Chamber members, who promote good will in the business and economic community, encourage new businesses to join the Chamber, and establish good will between the business community and the Chamber.
The Colby Diplomats are a group of ladies who are Chamber members and Colby supporters. They assist the Chamber at many events. They meet monthly at lunch, and have an annual luncheon for area women.
Thomas County Fair held the last week of July includes a home owned carnival.
The Chamber helps other volunteers with the 4-H livestock weigh in and sale. This is an opportunity to support area youth.
